We are in a world where almost everything is virtual. In the earlier days of
civilisation people had a home address; I think now is the time to also have an
address on the web — somewhere that is yours, that outlives whichever platform
is fashionable this year.
So this is mine. It has been sitting here for a while as a static résumé. I’m
turning it into something I actually write on.
What I expect to write about
Roughly three things, which is also roughly what I spend my days on:
- AI, minus the hype. I work at an AI institute, which mostly means I see
how much unglamorous infrastructure sits underneath every impressive demo.
I’d like to write about that gap.
- Engineering. APIs, Kubernetes, the parts of Python that surprise me, and
documentation as a first-class artifact rather than an afterthought.
- Health and everything else. Occasionally. It’s my site.
How this works
Posts are plain Markdown files in _posts/. The site is Jekyll on GitHub
Pages, so publishing is a git push — no CMS, no database, nothing to keep
patched. Everything is filterable by tag and searchable from the
writing index.
No newsletter, no popups, no tracking. Just the words.
